Enceladus, is the main source of material for Saturn's E- Ring. The moon has a deep salty ocean underneath a thick layer of ice. Due to thermal activity at the ocean floor, fissures and cracks on the surface spew out water rich plumes into space. Those plumes form the ring as the moon orbits Saturn
