As a volunteer fireman in a rural Jersey town, we often set fires to prevent the buildup of combustible material when weather conditions are right. Far different from the images of California wild fires I am seeing every morning where drought conditions and high winds have burned up over a hundred thousand acres and consumed hundreds of homes.
